A Soggy, Pacific Northwest Garden

Despite the unrelenting rain we had over the weekend, Erik and I managed to spend a good portion of it outside gardening.  Happily, we'd duck into the house for tea and snacks whenever the sprinkles turned to showers. and then dash back out whenever the sun tempted us with a few gentle rays. Erik worked on a trellis for our pole beans and sweet peas.  He's the perfect height for that sort of work.  Our lettuce, kale, spinach, and chard are thriving.  It even appears that the tomatoes will survive, despite the fact that I planted  them a wee bit too early.  And the blueberries?  Oh, I can hardly wait!!
