Last week went by in a flash. With my parents' help, we completed our last gardening project of the season: making raised beds for our future vegetable garden.
The process began on Tuesday, as I endeavored to coat all of the douglas fir boards with a great nontoxic wood preservative in a few short hours. This picture shows but a small fraction of it. My back is still paying the price for lifting and moving all that lumber by myself!
My Dad and Erik were quite perfectionistic when it came to assembling the veggie boxes, but that sure did result is some amazingly solid beds that we will use for years to come!
